Request a New Vendor Assessment

Overview Step 1: Request Assessment Step 2: Specify Vendor Step 3: Specify Scope Step 4: Specify Details Step 5: Submit Request

Assessments are the questionnaires CORL submits to vendors to determine risk. You can request a new vendor assessment at any time. After you submit the request, CORL receives a ticket and will create the request.

Note that after you submit a request for an assessment, there is a time lag while CORL processes your request. You can view the Assessment Queue to determine the status of your request.

Tip: It may take up to 48 hours after you submit a request for an assessment for the assessment count to update. You can view the status of your request in the Support Desk. For more information, see Obtain Support.

If you are a CORLcleared customer, and all of your lanes are in use, you can view the assessment queue to see which assessments are waiting for an available lane.

On October 9, CORL released a new feature that gives clients the option to accept a security certification (sec cert) from a vendor in lieu of completing an assessment questionnaire. This provides a streamlined process for both clients and vendors. For more information, see Accepting Security Certifications in Lieu of Questionnaires.

To request a new vendor assessment, there are multiple screens that must be completed in order:

  1. Request a New Vendor Assessment
  2. Specify the Vendor
  3. Provide the Scoping Information (standard assessment only)
  4. Provide the Assessment Details
  5. Confirm and Submit Assessment Request

Tip: You cannot save a partially completed assessment request and finish later, you must complete all the pages before clicking Submit. If you try to navigate away before completing the assessment request, a message displays.
