11/20/24 Release Notes

The November releases continue the theme of improving visibility, transparency, and automation in the platform to accelerate assessment completions.  Several enhancements were implemented this month toward that goal.

Vendor Details Page (Nov 20)

Data Explorer (Nov 11)

Vendor Details Page (Nov 20)

A comprehensive view of vendors is now available in the platform, providing varying levels of detail from a single source.   The Vendor Details page is a robust view of a vendor’s company profile, engagement details, Risk profile details, along with a view of business sectors and assessment status.

  • From the Vendor tab in the main menu, select Vendors & Products to display all existing vendor/product associations, view a specific one in detail, or bulk modify them.
  • Identify a vendor you want to view in detail and click the edit icon on the far right of the screen to reveal the Vendor Details page.
  • On the Vendor Details page, take note of the Business sectors in the top right widget and the Risk profile details just below that.
  • The new Vendor Correlation ID field makes it easy to manage vendors across systems.  This unique identifier will be returned in results and/or API requests for accurate vendor correlation across your business systems.

Data Explorer (Nov 11)

This PowerBI dashboard facilitates deeper insights into assessments and risk findings with a comprehensive data set to filter, query, and export to a data lake. This replaces and enhances access to data from the old platform's Program metrics.

  • Accessible from the Assessments main menu, choose Data Explorer. The Data Explorer PowerBI dashboard will load similar to the Management Dashboard.  If you want immediate access, ask your CXM to swap out your Programs Metrics to Data Explorer.  This will be seamless by mid-December, when Program Metrics will be fully transitioned to Data Explorer.
  • This amount of data may be of most interest to GRC and InfoSec Analysts.
  • The Assessments and Findings tab is focused on insights, while the bottom section is a drill down of the data. There’s also a quick link to the Assessment Details page in the Platform.
  • A useful application of this data is to identify trends in vendor responses and assessment aging timeframes. It can inform decisions on whether to close an active assessment after a certain number of days if there is no progress, thereby ensuring data integrity and preventing delays in the security executive summary report.
  • This view will continue to evolve and be enhanced. Please share your feedback so that we can ensure the data presentation meets your needs for making informed decisions and effectively managing the risk of your vendor inventory.
