We’ve made several key updates to improve the assessment request process and data handling across our platform. These changes are designed to streamline submissions, improve data consistency, and support more robust reporting.

Add the “why” to assessments to help us serve you better. By providing the why, it helps our team understand the context of what the business need for the assessment is. We can have more real conversations with vendors to drive engagement.

1. Assessment Request Reason

  • A new "Reason for Assessment Request" field is now required when submitting an assessment.
  • Once submitted, the reason field becomes read-only to preserve submission context.

Initial Reason Options Include:

  • New Vendor Engagement: For initiating an assessment of a vendor who has not been previously onboarded or reviewed.
  • Expanded Vendor Engagement (e.g., New Data Access or New Product): Use this when an existing vendor is adding services, introducing a new product, or accessing more sensitive data.
  • Contract Renewal: Select when an existing vendor’s contract is approaching its renewal date.
  • Periodic Re-Assessment: For routine, cadence-based reassessments of current vendors.
  • Breach/Vulnerability-Initiated Re-Assessment: Applies when an assessment is triggered by a security incident, data breach, or identified vulnerability.

2. Assessment Urgency

  • A new "Priority" field is also now available on the request form.
  • After submission, the priority can be edited from the Assessment Details page.

Initial Urgency Options include:

  • High
  • Normal
  • Low
